REGIONAL BEREAVEMENT COORDINATOR


Full Time


(Covering New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties)
Job Description:


  • Administer a planned bereavement program in a regional area.
  • Provide bereavement services to assist the patient, family and other individuals in coping with grief/bereavement in an organized program.
  • Provide organization of planned bereavement programs in regional offices.
  • Training of staff for providing bereavement/grief support to families and providing care to bereaved through program plan.
  • Provide statistical reporting and appropriate documentation in bereavement care.
  • Accountable in coordinating outreach and support for bereavement care and support in community and contracted facilities.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum requirement is a bachelors' degree in human services field such as social work, psychology, counseling or related field with experience and education in death and dying and the grief process.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in group facilitation and support intervention.
  • Knowledge of the signs of grief symptoms and process.
  • Demonstration of proficiency in writing and oral communication.
  • Knowledge and skill with computer software programs to include Word, Excel and documentation system.
  • Must accept travel and working conditions as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
