Biotech Portfolio Lead Sr Director (West Coast/APAC) - US

As a Biotech Portfolio Lead, you will provide strategic direction across all therapeutic areas and other divisions across PPD to ensure a customized biotech delivery model that is most effective for portfolio clients. This position provides consultation, direction, and leadership to functional leads and employees to ensure operational excellence. Candidates with experience in APAC region is preferred. Essential Functions and Other Job Information:
o Partners globally with other groups to develop new business and to deliver existing business. Responsible for achieving overall financial goals (sales/repeat business, revenue and profitability), and ensuring the timely execution of clinical trials and other services. o Partners with cross functional leadership on the continuous development and improvement of business processes to support teams and to ensure that work is uniform, complete and managed appropriately. o Develops excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and leaders responsible for the delivery of projects and services to improve information exchange, project delivery, and understanding between groups. Ensures coordination across geographies, therapeutic areas and functions and achieve superior delivery of projects and services. o Provides ongoing consultancy, coaching and feedback to colleagues involved in delivering projects and services on behalf biotech clients to improve the overall understanding of the client and ability to deliver to the expectations of the clients. o Develops excellent working relationships with the Business Development leadership team to enable advanced business planning for project delivery and expansion of the portfolio of business. o Assists in business development activities, representing PPD biotech at bid defenses, ensuring realization of the PPD biotech vision. o Utilizes systems, tools and reports to identify trends in risks and/or issues that present opportunities to leverage PPD Biotech team influence and expertise. o Collaborates with the Biotech leadership team and other senior, therapeuticarea, geography and functional lead colleagues to enable oversight of operational performance, resourcing, financial health/strategy, and business planning and execution. o Serves as the customers' executive single point of contact, and escalation support person for all operational issues/discussions. Communicates with sponsors regularly to identify potential problem areas and acts quickly to remove the risk/resolve the issue.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
